CONVERSE DEBUTS THE AUCKLAND MODERN INSPIRED BY THE BRAND’S RUNNING LEGACY

sneakersupdated
Hot off the heels of the Converse All Star Modern launch last month, Converse unveils the next drop from Converse Modern Footwear with the debut of the Converse Auckland Modern. The Auckland Modern is a new silhouette inspired by Converse’s rich legacy in running innovation – rooted in the brand’s partnerships with elite athletes and coaches during the 1970s and ‘80s. The Converse Auckland Modern collection features a split knit upper for lightweight comfort and a secure fit, in addition to Nike Hyperfuse construction for durability and support. The sneaker is underpinned by a Phylon outsole for lightweight cushioning and comfort with flex grooves for mobility. Each of these aspects provides updates for today’s active lifestyle consumer, while still recognizing Converse’s rich heritage in sports.

“The Converse Auckland Modern is the latest in a series of new sneaker drops that are fusing our sport heritage with modern design,” said Bryan Cioffi, Vice President/Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear. “For this release we’ve taken inspiration from our running history and have modernized an iconic sneaker with new construction and lightweight materials. The Converse Auckland Modern continues our story in Converse Modern Footwear and what’s next for Converse and our fans.”

The Converse Auckland Modern sneaker collection will be available starting September 30, 2016 for a RSP of R1799.95, at Converse Menlyn and Converse Sandton city in Black/Soar White and Black/Lucid Green colourways.
